1. About AwayPlanner

AwayPlanner ("we", "us", "our") operates an online platform that enables users to search, compare and book travel services related to football away matches, including flights, accommodation and optional travel-related services.

AwayPlanner acts as a commercial intermediary that facilitates and processes bookings on behalf of third-party travel service providers. AwayPlanner does not operate flights, accommodation or other travel services itself.

2. Our role and booking relationship

When you make a booking through AwayPlanner:

  • AwayPlanner processes the booking and payment on behalf of the relevant third-party travel service provider;
  • the travel service itself is provided by the airline, accommodation provider or other third party;
  • a direct contractual relationship for the execution of the travel service is formed between you and the relevant third-party provider.

AwayPlanner is not an airline, tour operator or accommodation provider.

3. Booking confirmation

A booking is not final until it has been successfully confirmed.

A booking is considered confirmed only once you receive a booking confirmation email from AwayPlanner and/or the relevant third-party provider, containing booking details and confirmation status.

Until such confirmation is issued:

  • prices are indicative;
  • availability is not guaranteed;
  • no contract for the travel service is formed.

4. Payments

All payments are processed via secure third-party payment service providers.

AwayPlanner:

  • does not store full payment card details;
  • may process payments in different currencies;
  • is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.

In the event of payment failure, suspected fraud, chargebacks, or violation of these Terms, AwayPlanner reserves the right to suspend, cancel or refuse a booking.

In case of chargebacks initiated without valid legal grounds, AwayPlanner reserves the right to recover any associated administrative and banking costs.

5. Prices, availability and errors

Prices displayed on AwayPlanner are indicative, subject to availability and subject to change until booking confirmation.

AwayPlanner reserves the right to cancel or correct bookings in the event of:

  • obvious pricing errors;
  • technical mistakes;
  • system malfunctions;
  • incorrect fare or availability information received from third-party providers.

If a booking is cancelled due to such an error, any amounts paid will be refunded.

6. Football match schedules

Football match dates, kick-off times and venues are determined by leagues, clubs and competition organisers and may change at any time.

AwayPlanner:

  • does not guarantee attendance at any football match;
  • is not liable for match rescheduling, postponement or cancellation;
  • bears no responsibility for travel consequences arising from fixture changes.

Optional flexibility or protection services may be offered to help mitigate these risks.

7. Changes, cancellations and refunds

Changes, cancellations and refunds are governed by:

  • the terms and conditions of the relevant airline or accommodation provider; and/or
  • the terms of any optional protection or flexibility service purchased.

AwayPlanner may assist in initiating requests but does not determine eligibility, approval or outcomes. Refunds are processed by third-party providers in accordance with their rules.

8. Right of withdrawal

Under EU consumer protection law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for passenger transport services or other time-specific travel services scheduled for specific dates or periods of performance.

As a result, bookings made through AwayPlanner are final once confirmed and are not subject to a statutory cooling-off period.

Any cancellation or modification rights are governed exclusively by the fare rules of the relevant third-party provider or any optional protection service purchased.

9. Optional services and protection

AwayPlanner may offer optional services such as flexibility, assistance or disruption protection provided by third-party partners.

These services:

  • are subject to separate terms and conditions;
  • are not insurance products issued or underwritten by AwayPlanner;
  • do not guarantee match attendance.

10. Package travel disclaimer

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, bookings made through AwayPlanner do not constitute a package travel arrangement or linked travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.

Each travel service is offered and booked separately, even if multiple services are displayed or booked in one session.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AwayPlanner shall not be liable for:

  • missed matches;
  • indirect or consequential damages;
  • travel disruptions;
  • acts or omissions of third-party service providers;
  • force majeure events.

If AwayPlanner is found liable, such liability shall be limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the affected booking.

12. Force majeure

Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, strikes, governmental actions, pandemics, airline insolvency, security incidents and other events beyond reasonable control.

AwayPlanner shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by force majeure.

13. Use of the platform

Users agree not to:

  • misuse the platform;
  • provide false or misleading information;
  • engage in automated scraping or unauthorised data extraction;
  • interfere with the platform's operation or security.

AwayPlanner reserves the right to restrict or suspend access in case of misuse.

14. Minimum age

Users must be at least 18 years old to make a booking through AwayPlanner.

15. Travel documents

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold all required and valid travel documents necessary for your trip, including but not limited to passports, visas, entry permits, health documentation and any other requirements imposed by authorities or service providers.

AwayPlanner does not verify travel document requirements and is not responsible for denied boarding, refused entry, missed connections or any losses resulting from insufficient, invalid or missing travel documentation.

16. Intellectual property

Club names, logos and trademarks are used solely for identification purposes. All rights remain with their respective owners. No affiliation, endorsement or official partnership is implied unless explicitly stated.

17. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. AwayPlanner does not sell personal data and only shares data with partners where necessary to fulfil bookings and services.

18. Statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.

This does not affect the right of consumers to bring proceedings in their country of residence where mandatory consumer protection rules apply.
